The Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, took part in a videoconference event dedicated to the launch of the online platform of the UNDP Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia "Equal Future".  Ivana Zhivkovich, Assistant Secretary General, Director of the UNDP Regional Office for Europe and the CIS, as well as heads and specialists of UNDP departments, representatives of scientific and expert circles took part in its work.As information, it should be noted that the Equal Future platform was launched by the Istanbul Regional Center of the UNDP in order to provide information and methodological support in the field of gender equality to parliaments, government agencies and civil society institutions of 19 European and Central Asian states. The platform is an online web-based knowledge center on women's participation in public administration.During the event, the Chairman of the Senate, the Chairman of the Republican Commission on Enhancing the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and the Family T. Narbayeva noted that the current meeting is extremely relevant for all countries, since gender policy is an important factor in the development of society and the state.

She also highlighted the comprehensive measures being implemented in Uzbekistan to comprehensively support women, actively involve them in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres, as well as international initiatives of our country to develop regional cooperation on gender equality issues.The participants of the event stressed that this online platform serves as an effective platform for organizing various discussions, trainings and joint events on gender equality issues, exchange of information and experience in the field of gender equality in Europe and Central Asia.
