On January 12 of this year, the activities of the Committee of Senate on Women and Gender Equality in 2023 and the work plan for 2024 were discussed.

The meeting of the Committee was attended by senators, members of the expert group, representatives of ministries and agencies, deputies of local Kengashes, members of the Youth Parliament, as well as media workers.

In 2023, the Committee focused on improving legislation, control and analytical activities, as well as positively resolving issues that concern the population in regions, providing practical assistance, timely consideration of appeals, as well as increasing the role of women in society, their social support, ensuring their active participation in social life and systematic solutions to their problems.
