On October 4 of this year, the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on Women and Gender Equality, together with the UN Mission in Uzbekistan and its specialized structures, held a Dialogue on Sustainable Development Goals on gender equality in Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, employees of the UN mission in Uzbekistan and its specialized structures, representatives of ministries and departments, international financial institutions, the private sector, youth and civil society institutions, as well as the media.

The event was attended by Yuldoshev Zoyir Toshkanovich, Head of the Department of Demography and Labor Statistics of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Qambarov Jaxongir Xoshimjonovich, Deputy Head of the Department of Social and Sustainable Development Statistics.

During the dialogue, the sides exchanged views on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan to ensure gender equality, strengthen the family, empower women, and support their employment.
